Hi. The name’s Jhanelle, but that’s not the story.

I’m eighteen years of age, born and raised somewhere in the province of Cavite. At present, I’m on my third year of taking up a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Research at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I am a firm believer of true love’s only existence in movies, books, and sleep. I like driving and annoying my two younger brothers to their bones.

(Update: I’m now twenty, a college graduate who realized her latin honors don’t really help but instead makes pressuring expectations, working at an advertising agency in Makati [and spends too much time there]. True love I hope is going to meet me in the most cliche, theatrical moment; just like how it happens in those books and movies. I still like driving but my trauma hasn’t complete vanished, and the traffic going to and from work is not really ideal. And I am still annoying my brothers, only more often now, I think.)

I’m also taking these questions I found from Megan’s blog to pretend someone is actually interested in getting to know more about me.

25 Get to Know Me Q’s

1. What is your middle name?

It’s Jzandelli. Don’t ask.

2. What was your favorite subject at school?

I really enjoyed learning the whole Science series: General Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. There’s just something about it when you understand why things happen to things (and people, sometimes).

(But I wish I was more interested in literature and history.)

3. What is your favorite drink?

There is none in particular that I can think of right now, but I never drink soda (anymore).

(Update: Wintermelon Milk Tea.)

(I realized how basic the Wintermelon is. There’s more fun in Thai and Hong Kong milk teas.)

4. What is your favorite song at the moment?

I will work on a playlist of my all-time favorite songs. Remind me when you actually get to this part of my blog.

(Update: Bones and Only Love both by Ben Howard)

5. What is your favorite food?

Seafood! And street food! As in kaya kong kumain ng mga 30 na hipon and 30 na baked tahong. Tapos bet ko talaga yung isaw baboy tsaka dugo.

(I quit street food in January of 2017 and haven’t had any since.)

6. What is the last thing you bought?

I guess they’re clothes. I mean, if the food I had for lunch doesn’t count…

7. Favorite book of all time?

Right now, I think it’s Paper Towns by John Green. But I’m currently reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde and I really think it’s going to climb the charts.

(I never finished those books.)

8. Favorite Color?

Whites, golds, nudes, and blues.

(Nudes, neutrals, and burgundy.)

9. Do you have any pets?

No 😦

10. Favorite Perfume?

The only perfume I ever really loved was Bench’s Inspire, which was a limited edition since it was only sold to support a breast cancer cause. I haven’t really liked and worn any other perfume since then.

(I’m now wearing a perfume I like, but that Bench’s Inspire is still the amazing best.)

11. Favorite Holiday?

Got to be Christmas.

(And pseudo-holidays from work.)

12. Are you married?

13. Have you ever been out of the country, if so how many times?

14. Do you speak any other language?

(I had basic Spanish in college! YAY)

15. How many siblings do you have?

Two younger boys, as mentioned.

16. What is your favorite shop?

The one that sells really good stuff at a really good price 😉

(Uniqlo and ForMe. Huhu.)

17. Favorite restaurant?

Clue: It starts with a Taco and ends with a Bell… 😀

(Also quit fast food in January 2017. Next favorite would be… Terraz!)

18. When was the last time you cried?

I don’t remember.

19. Favorite Blog?

20. Favorite Movie?

A Walk to Remember.

21. Favorite TV shows?

Suits and Gossip Girl!

22. PC or Mac?

Mac (but I don’t own one…)

(I got to borrow use one for work!)

23. What phone do you have?

A dying HTC Mozart 7.

(A second-degree hand-me-down iPhone 4s. The HTC died.)

24. How tall are you?

Feet feet feet feet feet. I know.

25. Can you cook?

So I guess that’s it. You made to the end of this post. Thank you for being interested.

P.S. It’s interesting how things have changed. 🙂
